Yoga

There are 8 limbs of yoga. The limb everyone knows is Asana. This is when you are moving your body into different postures. 

Yoga is an ancient practice rooted in Indian philosophy. It is not a religious practice but a spiritual one.  It promotes physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. 

According to John Hopkins Medicine, some of the benefits of  Yoga asana:

  • Improves strength and balance
  • Helps with back pain
  • Helps with arthritis
  • Helps heart health
  • Help with better sleep
  • Helps manage stress
  • Promotes self-care 

We offer live online classes for every level from beginning to advanced. There are many different styles of yoga from Chair to Kundalini to Hatha to Nidra and Yin. We will be offering in-person yoga on the beach, on a paddleboard, in the woods, and in the park. Getting out in nature has many health benefits.

Classes and teacher training are offered for those who want to go further in their practice.  Our partner school teaches the Eastern philosophy of yoga.
